SOUTHINGTON CARE CENTER

Southington
Care Center is a 130-bed facility specializing in the provision
of short-term inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services
and long-term care. The facility opened in 1990 and provides
a state-of-the-art environment and a uniquely trained staff
to meet the ongoing skilled and sub-acute needs of the clientele
we serve. In addition to a full spectrum of therapies and rehabilitative
nursing care, Southington Care Center also offers a specialized
program for dementia and memory-impaired residents. This initiative,
The Renaissance Program, provides a fully individualized approach
to meeting the needs of this very special population. Staff
is specially trained to provide services that enhance quality
of life while promoting maximum well-being. |
Southington Care Center is JCAHO accredited. It is approved for
Medicare, Medicaid and several private insurance plans.
In May of 1998 Southington Care Center opened a new state-of-the-art
8,300 square foot rehabilitation pavilion complete with aqua-therapy
and an occupational therapy suite that replicates the home setting.
This facility will allow patients to receive rehab services in an
environment that has been specially designed to meet the needs of
an older population.
Southington Care Center is part of the Central Connecticut Health
Alliance; a parent corporation, which represents a full spectrum
of care including the acute hospital, home-care services, out-patient
therapy, mental health services, long-term care and short-term rehabilitation.
Our newest Alliance members include The Orchards at Southington,
a beautiful homelike community offering independent and assisted
living apartments for seniors and Mulberry Gardens of Southington,
an assisted living community specializing in memory care.
